I am sure you are wondering what Aqua fitness is! Well water fitness isn’t just aqua aerobics anymore! The YMCA's of the North Shore are some of the only facilities in the country to offer not only high quality, high-intensity workouts in the pool, but specialty equipment including Water Treadmills, Water Bikes, Aqua Poles (think TRX in the water!) and Stand Up Fitness mats. This is a unique opportunity to become a part of something special that is not offered anywhere else on the North Shore that will allow you to build your career while you help build the program!

As an Aqua Fitness Instructor, you will help members reach their fitness goals in the pool by teaching a variety of classes that will create a fun workout environment. Day to day you will lead classes, educate members on proper form and technique, assist and make appropriate modifications, and inspire participants to return. You will provide engaging and challenging workouts driven by enthusiasm and active demonstration. Our state of the art facilities offer an abundant supply of high quality equipment and class spaces. We are seeking Instructors with a variety of skills and certification to expand our Aqua fitness classes. 

To thrive in this position you have experience as an exercise instructor and lead classes in a way that inspires member retention and engagement. You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and work effectively with a diverse population of people. You have a working knowledge of fitness training and education, exercise principles, and techniques in your area(s) or specialty. This is the ideal position for someone who is interested in exercise science, fitness training, customer relations, or non-profits.

Qualifications

• Must have a Group X or fitness certification

Salary : $27 - $40
