As an After School Staff Member, you will create a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment that allows children to learn, grow, and thrive beyond the traditional school day. On any given day, you'll apply your knowledge of effective teaching practices to lead engaging activities, ensure safe check-ins and check-outs, and collaborate with team members to supervise children, maintain safety, encourage positive behaviors, and stay in compliance with licensing standards. You'll also maintain clear communication with teammates and supervisors, document incidents as required, and address children's needs.
To succeed in this role, you should have an interest or experience working directly with children in recreational or educational settings. You understand how to apply rules and provide positive redirection to ensure safety, all while actively engaging with the children and making the program enjoyable.
