Summer Camp at the Y provides a fun and unique weekly experience for our childcare & community campers (ages 5 to 12).
The YMCA is hiring Counselors to assist our Program Manager. As a Counselor, you will participate in activities such as swimming, arts & crafts, nature walks, field trips, music, science experiments, sports, cultural exploration, and more. You will provide direct supervision for a group of 14 children.
Youth Day Camp - Counselor:
- Responsible for the direct supervision and safety of the children (ages 5 to 12) in the camp program
- Available to answer parent/caregiver questions.
- Help campers adjust to camp by introducing them to new friends and facilitating positive peer-to-peer interactions
- Create a positive and nurturing relationship with the children, while building cooperative relationships with their parents/caregivers
