Overview
The Athletic Director is responsible for overseeing, leading, planning and implementing the Athletic department. Athletic Director supervises 6-10 Athletic Specialists as well as teaches sport classes for campers in large and small group settings. Athletic activities offered are Archery, Basketball, Gaga, Landsports, Tennis, Volleyball, Mountain Biking, and Yoga.

Responsibilities
- Supervise all Athletic Specialists
- Observer Athletic Specialists classes and provide constructive feedback
- Make sure athletic lesson plans are turned in on a timely manner
- Approve all lesson plans and curriculum for sports activities and confirm they are age appropriate and meet the standard
- Provide instruction, supervision and safety of all campers and staff in program area and cabins
- Submit written performance evaluation of staff twice a summer
- Ensure adequate supplies and resources are available
- Assist campers with achieving their goals
- Supervise and participate in all assigned aspects of the campers’ day which includes but is not limited to; camper check-in and check-out; meal times; activities; and before/after-hours duties as assigned
- Assist with Trading Post
- Assist with evening activities and special events
- Assist with overnights
- Assist with tractor rides
- Attend and participate in Ad Staff and All Staff Training
Qualifications
- Must be 20 years of age or older.
- Previous camp experience or experience working with groups of children is preferred.
- Ability to lead and instruct a group of staff and campers in the Athletic program.
- Have knowledge in safety, care of equipment, inventory, skill instruction, and progressive age-appropriate programming.
- Be able to identify the age and grade level characteristics of campers.
- Training will be provided during Administration Staff Training and All Staff Training.
