Summer 2025 Internship Opportunities

Food & Beverage Internship (Snow Mountain Ranch, May 26th, 2025 - August 15th, 2025) The Food & Beverage Management Intern is responsible for overall day to day operations in all Front of the House Food Service common areas, banquet dining halls and dining rooms including customer service, training and supervising all staff. Other duties include dining room and rest room cleanliness, labelling of all food items, updating daily menu board, and ensuring all food and drink line equipment is clean and functioning properly. This internship is a learning experience and involves working closely with the Dining Rooms Managers to learn service excellence and team management, as well as work with the Food Service Office Manager to understand administrative function, organizations and relationships with bookings and the conference department.

Kitchen and Culinary Internship (Snow Mountain Ranch, May 26th, 2025 - August 15th, 2025) Our Kitchen & Culinary Intern will primarily be responsible for shift management of all kitchen & back of the house food service operations at Snow Mountain Ranch; including menu planning, food preparation, ordering, and kitchen cleanliness. The apprentice will also be responsible for compliance with federal, state and county health regulations. This internship is a learning experience and involves working closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to learn culinary techniques, menu building and team management, as well as work with the Inventory Manager to understand stocking, product turnover, pricing and ordering within the Food & Beverage industry.

Accounting Assistant Internship (Estes Park Center, May 26th, 2025 - August 15th, 2025) Our Accounting Intern will be Responsible for assisting in performing the functions related to processing, payment and record keeping of the Association’s Accounting Office. Responsibilities will include reconciliation of General Ledger accounts, researching discrepancies as needed and preparing journal entries for adjusting transactions, processing check payments once Accounts Payable is updated, assisting with Month-End Closing processes, Project Management for various Accounting functions, and maintaining files in order to keep accurate, organized and reconciled records of all Accounting files.

Fall 2025 Internship Opportunities

Activities Facilitator Internship (Snow Mountain Ranch, August 14th, 2025 - December 5th, 2025) Activity Facilitator interns are responsible for leading family-oriented and group programs for members and guests of all ages. This includes sports, archery, outdoor nature activities, mini-golf clubhouse, roller rink, science experiments, climbing wall, games and other family programs. Additionally, interns will assist guests at the program registration desk. 

Program Desk Attendant Internship (Snow Mountain Ranch, August 14th, 2025 - Decmeber 5th, 2025) The Program Desk Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests and members at the Snow Mountain Ranch Programs office. Responsibilities of Program Desk Attendant intern include opening and closing the building; managing a cash drawer and our online sign up system; being knowledgeable on and sharing information about our Programs, our Association, Rocky Mountain National Park, and Estes Park; and promoting current and future activities and offerings across the Y. 

Guest Registration Intern (Estes Park Center, August 4th, 2025 to Decmber 5th, 2025) Our guest registration internship provide those interested in hospitality management a valuable experience as they gain skills in a fast-paced hotel environment. They often provide the first face-to-face impression of YMCA of the Rockies to our guests and ensure they are given accurate and in-depth information about their accommodations and activities.
