YMCA of the Roses City Center is hiring a Massage Therapist to work flexible hours between 9am-7pm based on appointments scheduled with clients, and therapists availability.

Essential Functions
- Conducts a safe and effective massage wellness class designed to improve the Client's state of well being
- Puts the health and well-being of the client first in all aspects, providing modifications for client safety and experience
- Builds authentic relationships with clients, while also providing connections with other YMCA staff and members to enhance membership
- Is available to work to accommodate appointments during predetermined times.
- Maintains working knowledge of wellness trends to provide effective information and support to participants
- Secures, sets-up and maintains equipment and facility as required for the client, cleans all supplies and surfaces between clients, and reports any unsafe facility concerns to the Wellness Coordinator/Director
- Begins and ends appointments on time
- Maintains accurate attendance & scheduling records
- Wears appropriate and approved attire, therefore being easily identifiable by participants and members; one YMCA staff shirt is provided and additional shirts may be purchased
- Ensures the environment meets standards for sound, privacy, and cleanliness.
- If working as an off-site instructor, must also be responsible for any additional duties and tasks, i.e. provide own transportation to the off-site facility, arrive on time, set-up/tear-down equipment, etc.
- Applies York and York County YMCA policy/procedures for emergency situations, including but not limited to accidents and fire alarms.
- Serves as a role model for other staff members by demonstrating exemplary job skills and behavior
- Attends required staff meetings, educational workshops and certifications
- Maintains certification by attending CEC classes and submitting required updated paperwork to the YMCA of the USA and the York and York County YMCA
- Maintains current PA License for Massage Therapy.
- Completes additional duties as assigned by the Wellness Coordinator/Director.

- 2 years' experience, plus PA Licensed Massage Therapist
- Must have valid CPR/ AED certification before teaching the first class.
- Complete Living our Cause within 1 month of hire
- Complete the following within 3 months of hire:
- Orientation to Healthy Living at the Y
- Foundations of Listen First
- Principles of Member Health and Wellness
- Group Exercise at the Y
- Foundations of Group Exercise (offered by ACE)
