What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swim Instructor - City Center position at YMCA of the Roses?
We are currently hiring for a swim instructor to work Saturdays at the City Center Branch. The Swim Instructor at the YMCA maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals and provides proper, safe instruction of all levels of the Y USA swim lessons.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Instructs swimming lessons as assigned in accordance with YMCA guidelines, following lesson plans provided for each class level.
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with program participants and parents / caregivers while supporting them in achieving their goals.
- Relays information regarding participants' progress as well as other programs to parents / caregivers, when appropriate, while maintaining a friendly and warm atmosphere.
- Maintains records as required (e.g., attendance, parent handbooks, certificates).
- Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.
- Attends staff meetings and in-service trainings when requested.
