Program Director – Clarence E. Lightner Y Achievers and Youth & Government Programs
Under the guidance of the Vice President of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) and in collaboration with the Senior Director of Civic Engagement, the Clarence E. Lightner Y Achievers (LYA) and Youth & Government (YAG) Program Director will lead, manage, and expand impactful initiatives, including the Boys and Young Men of Color (BYMOC) program. This role also includes serving as the Assistant Director for YMCA Youth & Government.
Working closely with YMCA branches, schools, community organizations, and volunteers, the ideal candidate will design and implement innovative programs that empower teens and young adults, with a particular focus on supporting teens of color.
This full-time position requires occasional evening, weekend, and overnight commitments. The successful candidate will bring a strong passion for youth development, creativity in program design, and experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, along with a proven ability to manage and grow programs.
Key responsibilities include managing program operations in alignment with the YMCA’s mission, goals, and policies, as established by the administrative team, governing committees, and the Board of Directors.
