The incumbent will be responsible for the general safety and development of campers, providing high-quality outdoor educational experiences that focus on the YMCA core values.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the direction, supervision, and organization of campers in their living unit within activities and throughout the camp.
- Develop and implement program activities for campers, including leading or assisting with teaching activities.
- Maintain high standards for health and mental health in all activities for campers, responding appropriately to situations requiring first aid.
- Ensure campers receive their medications as directed by the Health Office.
Requirements:
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Adult and Pediatric First Aid & CPR/AED certification
- Lifeguard certification may be required for some positions
- Education classes or experience in camp, youth programs, recreation, working with children, or a related field
- Ability to lead, plan, organize, and implement program activities with all age levels
