Job Description
The Program Director of Gymnastics will be expected to Coach at Level 2-8 and above, manage, develop, implement, and enhance programs for youth gymnastics. Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and assists with the promotion and administration of all Gymnastics programs. Assists with the management of all aspects of the Gymnastics Camp facility to promote a clean, safe, and friendly environment. Recruit members for program delivery and develop and maintain relationships with volunteers for the operation of above-mentioned programs. Work to establish a consistent presence in the YMCA’s service region, including a connection with the surrounding area school districts.
As Gymnastics Director, you'll oversee and elevate gymnastics programming in our brand-new state-of-the-art facility. You will inspire athletes, develop programs, and foster a safe, welcoming environment for all.
New Facility Features (Haverford Area YMCA Gymnastic Center, 4 Raymond Drive Suite C-D, Havertown, PA 19083):
Our gymnastics teams currently serve 50 gymnasts competing at Levels 2 - 8 (with goals to grow to level 10) in YMCA State, USAG sanctioned meets, and National competitions. Our goal is to expand the team to over 100 gymnasts competing in all sanctioned levels, providing opportunities for athletes to grow and achieve their competitive potential. We also lead a youth instructional program that serves over 700 participants. You'll play a vital role in developing these teams, creating a culture of excellence, and ensuring a rewarding experience for athletes, families, and staff.

- Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 3 years of youth programming and camp leadership.
- Expertise: Strong gymnastics background, including experience with all USA Gymnastics competitive Levels, spotting, and skill development.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage and inspire teams while maintaining high-quality programming.
- Certifications: USAG Safety Certification (preferred), ability to maintain nationally recognized certifications.
- Skills: Excellent communication, organizational abilities, and proficiency in PC and software applications.
