It is anticipated that an average workweek will consist of 50 hours to complete duties.

Minimum Entry Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum age 24
- Four year degree in related field
- Minimum two to three years’ experience in membership development and management
- Minimum two to three years’ experience and proven success managing and developing staff and finances
- Maintain current CPR, AED, first aid and emergency oxygen or acquire within 60 days of hire.
- Must attend New Employee Orientation within 30 days of hire
- Visual, auditory, and verbal ability to communicate effectively
- Position requires prolonged standing and sitting
- Must be able to lift minimum of 50 pounds
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people
- Ability to work accurately at a fast pace
- Strong communication skills
- Possess excellent human relations skills
- Organization, delegation, planning, and monitoring skills
- Strong skills in hiring, training, and supervision
- Learn all emergency procedures and the emergency action plan for the branch

Job Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate the mission, vision and values of the Wichita YMCA.
- Play a strong leadership role in the Strong Community Campaign.
- Foster positive relationships with staff, members and volunteers.
- Hire and train program directors and staff in areas of responsibility.
- Provide ongoing leadership, professional guidance and development to staff.
- Assist direct reports on the development of program/instructional staff.
- Support and guide branch staff in the development and management of department budgets.
- Ensure high-quality programs through innovative program development, audits and evaluation.
- Provide direction on overall participation growth in all departments.
- Guide and direct department staff on providing a safe and clean program environment/area.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with staff (department meetings, one-on-one monthly meetings with direct reports, etc.).
- Maintain complete familiarity of all risk management procedures and policies for department areas and the overall branch.
- Provide coverage and leadership for branch at a variety of times (evenings and weekends).
- All other duties assigned.
- Growth in current programs and development of new and innovative programs.
- High program and member retention rate.
- Positive written and oral comments from program participants and members regarding good membership and program experience and about the staff.
- Branch Net Promoter score of 60%.
- Well-managed staff that is high performing.
