Summer School Age Childcare Program Staff age 16 will work in the Summer Power program with youth in grades K-5 leading craft projects, gym games, and outdoor activities. We also go on fun field trips and take the kids swimming every week! Flexible schedules Monday-Friday between 6 : 30am-6 : 00pm.
Job Summary :
The Summer Program Staff is responsible for planning, leading, and implementing recreational and creative experiences for school age and middle school youth in a group setting.? The incumbent provides high quality recreational experiences for youth that focus on the YMCA core values : honesty, respect, equity, responsibility, and caring.
Essential Functions :
- Assist with the writing and implementation of weekly lesson plans.
- Organize and lead a variety of activities appropriate for school age and middle school children. Activities may include arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games, enrichment activities, etc.
- Ensure that the site is kept clean and organized.
- Assist in maintaining accurate program records including incident reports, daily rosters, logbook documentation, and attendance records.
- Assist in completing child and program evaluations.
- Maintain Minnesota Department of Health certification status with required staff trainings.
Relationships :
This position reports to the Site Director who reports to the Program Director.? The incumbent interacts regularly with children, parents, and staff members from diverse backgrounds.
