About the Role:
As a Ninja Zone Instructor at the Vigo County YMCA, you will play a pivotal role in fostering physical fitness, agility, and confidence in children through our unique Ninja Zone program. Your primary objective will be to create a safe, engaging, and fun environment where children can learn and develop their ninja skills, including obstacle navigation, gymnastics, and martial arts techniques. You will be responsible for designing and implementing lesson plans that cater to various skill levels, ensuring that each child feels included and motivated to improve. Additionally, you will monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to participants, helping them achieve their personal goals. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the overall development of children, promoting teamwork, discipline, and a love for physical activity.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children in a recreational or educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in gymnastics, martial arts, or a related field.
- Previous experience as a coach or instructor in a similar program.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and instruct Ninja Zone classes for children of various age groups and skill levels.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote physical fitness and skill development.
