About the Role:

The Summer Camp position at Clay County YMCA is designed to create a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children during the summer months. The primary goal is to facilitate a variety of activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development among campers. This role requires collaboration with fellow staff members to plan and implement daily schedules that include arts and crafts, sports, and team-building exercises. Additionally, the position involves monitoring camper behavior and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience working with children in a camp or educational setting.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a leadership role within a camp or youth program.
• College coursework in education, recreation, or a related field.
• Knowledge of various recreational activities and games.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead daily activities that are age-appropriate and aligned with the camp's educational goals.
• Supervise campers during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns.
