Day Camp Counselor-Part Time
POSITION SUMMARY :
Under supervision of the Childcare Director / Program Director / Branch Director and consistent with the Christian mission of the YMCA, the Day Camp / Adventure Club Counselor is responsible for providing program leadership in a day camp group. The Day Camp / Adventure Club Counselor will assist the Childcare Director / Program Director / Branch Director with various branch activities such as special events, and other activities that occur on various occasions.
- Leadership for specific camper group
- Maintain discipline within camper group
- Follow emergency procedures in case of accidents
- Remain with camper group at all times
- Plan and implement open period activities
- Maintain camp equipment
- Maintain reports and attendance records
- Follow established camp procedures and guidelines
- Follow the YMCA mission : To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all
Qualifications :
Pay Range : $10 per hour
Salary : $10
