The YMCA of Virginia's Blue Ridge is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Water Fitness Instructor to lead water fitness classes according to the YMCA philosophy of developing a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safe, effective, and fun exercise classes that cater to diverse age groups and abilities.
- Communicate effectively with participants, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the class.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and industry standards in aquatic fitness, incorporating this knowledge into class design and execution.
- Collaborate with the Aquatics Director to select music with suitable lyrics and beats per minute.
- Attend all scheduled staff meetings and training events to stay informed about YMCA policies and procedures.
