Program Director - Campsite
Responsible for developing, supervising and organizing one or more specific program areas within a campsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design camper programs around specific camp specialties of an athletic, creative, physical and/or educational nature.
- Plan and schedule activities based on the abilities, and interests of campers.
- Write lesson plans that will engage campers and foster and enhance their skill development.
- Demonstrate appropriate use of equipment, proper techniques in activity participation, and articulate expected learning and achievement for satisfactory completion of activities.
- Monitor participation to ensure safety rules and requirements are followed.
- Maintain awareness of potential health and safety issues, identify hazards, and take appropriate action to resolve.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- High School graduate or equivalent; minimum one year college preferred.
- Experience working with children in day camp setting.
- Ability to interact effectively with children and parents on a range of issues.
- Experienced and skilled in one or more camp program activities.
- Certified, or ability to be certified, within first 30 days of hire in CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention.
Physical Demands:
- Required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Required to demonstrate physical stamina and agility, and stoop, kneel, crouch, walk, run, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to react to emergency situations by quick movements, strenuous activity, and communicate verbally in a noisy environment.
