social responsibility. The Aquatics Director at Ascension St. Vincent YMCA intentionally

- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- One to two years of related experience preferred (e.g., as an aquatics coordinator or supervisor).
- Minimum age of 21.
- Within 30 days of hire, complete child abuse prevention, work with program volunteers, and receive CPR, first aid, AED, and bloodborne pathogens training.
- Completion of YMCA aquatics training and trainer certifications.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
1. Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers.
2. Complete required abuse risk management training.
3. Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers.
4. Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.
5. Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.
6. Ensures programs and services meet community needs including supervising existing program activities, establishing new program activities, and expanding the program within the community as needed. Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information.
7. Monitors daily pool operations to adhere to all state, local, and YMCA health and safety regulations and conducts and ensures proper maintenance of pools. Maintains accurate records of pool chemical levels and facility maintenance.
8. Works with the Facilities Director to maintain the chemicals, cleanliness and equipment at a high level of quality.
9. Recruits hire coaches, disciplines, and provide an annual evaluation for staff. Onboards and develops them for success. Conducts lifeguarding, swim instruction, First Aid, and CPR training.
10. Ensures records of staff certifications are current and complete.
11. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships within the Y and community organizations.
12. Manages the day-to-day admin responsibilities, including developing and monitoring the budget to meet fiscal objectives; compiles program statistics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of and participation in programs; and oversees facility rentals.
13. Coordinates use of aquatics facilities for program activities and events, including swim classes, water fitness classes, recreational swimming, lap swim, rentals, etc.
14. Assists in-branch fundraising activities and special events.
15. Participants in Leadership activities: building coverage, staff meetings, cabinet meetings, if requested board meetings, and staff outings.
