RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN ESPORTS ASSISTANT:
- Positively represents the YMCA and maintains appropriate relationships with members, parents and youth.
- With the Program Director of ESports assists in recruitment and retention of participants for the ESports program.
- Conducts coaching and instruction activities during training, practice and competition.
- Ensures team compliance with all league rules and regulations.
- Keeps accurate scoring for all games during Competition nights.
- Assists in evaluation of the ESports programs.
- Assists in monitoring the department’s equipment inventory and ensures effective, safe use. Notifies Program Director of ESports of any equipment malfunctions, needed repairs or misuse.

REQUIREMENTS TO BE AN ESPORTS ASSISTANT:
- Candidates under age 16 considered with Sr. Leadership approval
- Current state approved First-Aid and CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Up-to-date knowledge of YMCA guidelines designated for league play
- Minimum of 6 months' experience refereeing
