YMCA - Urgent Hiring for Summer 2025 Food Associate! Work starts May 1st and goes through August 1st.

As a Summer Food Associate, you will play a crucial role in our Summer Food Program. You will assist with food distribution for children and youth to varying sites, keep accurate records, maintain food quality and safety, all with a great attitude and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with meal distribution at designated sites.
- Ensure accurate count and distribution of meals.
- Maintain detailed records of meal distribution and program compliance.
- Provide professional and courteous interaction with customers and program participants.
- Follow delivery schedules efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues during distribution.
- Ensure food quality and safety are maintained throughout service.
- Drive to various sites with up to an hour of travel time.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be 17 years or older.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to follow food handling and safety guidelines.
- Prior experience working with diverse populations of children/youth preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Agility and mobility to perform essential functions, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to participate in activities in various indoor and outdoor settings.
- Stand or sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
Training:
- New Employee Orientation required within the first week.
- Child & Adult Food Care Program Certification training provided.
- Any additional program-specific training required within the first week.
