Job Description
The Program Director will work directly with our 6th and 7th grade afterschool program that meets at our Downtown YMCA. The position includes but is not limited to: working with kids, homework help, implementation of STEM, promoting Heathly Eating Physical Activity (HEPA) and large group activities. This staff person will also work with our new NFL Flag Football PRogram and our growing Community Food Program.
Qualifications
Experience working with children and program management/
Essential Functions
- Supervision of youth ages kindergarten through 7th grade
- Building relationship with the you and their parents
- Writing and implement lesson plans that meet educational standards and that are fun (of course!!)
- Build community collaborations to provide quality program activities
- Managing the participants required paperwork
- Working with other staff
- Support fundraising and community programs that the YMCA association implements
