Technical Project Manager -Network SME
Experience: 5 - 15 Years
Location: North America - Permanent Remote

Must-Have:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
7 years of experience managing technical programs, with at least 5 years focused on network infrastructure.
Proven experience leading large-scale network initiatives, including LAN/WAN, cloud networking, and security projects.
Strong understanding of networking protocols, technologies, and best practices (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN, VPNs).
Hands-on experience working with cloud networking platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and integrating them with on-premises systems.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and resource allocation for large, complex programs.
Demonstrated experience with risk management, dependency tracking, and issue resolution within technical programs.
Experience with Smartsheet

About the Role:&
We are seeking a& highly experienced& Technical Program Manager& with expertise in& network infrastructure& to& oversee and& manage& large-scale& network programs.& The ideal& candidate will act as a& Network Subject Matter Expert (SME)& and will& be responsible for coordinating cross-functional& teams,& driving technical projects, and& ensuring successful delivery of& network initiatives. This role will& require extensive experience in& managing network-related programs, including LAN/WAN, cloud networking, and security. You& will& work closely with engineering,& operations,& and leadership teams to drive the successful implementation& of network solutions that align with business goals.

& Key Responsibilities:
  1. Serve& as& the& Network SME& and& lead& the& planning, execution,& and& successful& delivery of large-scale network programs, including LAN/WAN, cloud networking, and network security initiatives.
  2. Collaborate with& engineering, operations,& and& security& teams& to& ensure& that& network solutions meet business requirements, are scalable, and align with industry best& practices.
  3. Manage& the& end-to-end& lifecycle& of& network projects,& including& defining& scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
  4. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure that network infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and& new& implementations& are& successfully executed within& budget& and& on& time.
  5. Develop& and& maintain& program& roadmaps,& ensuring alignment with& business priorities and technology strategies.
  6. Identify& potential& risks,& dependencies,& and& obstacles,& and& proactively develop& mitigation plans to ensure successful program outcomes.
  7. Serve& as& the& primary point& of& contact for& all& network-related& program activities, providing regular updates and reporting to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  8. Drive& process& improvements to& streamline& project& delivery,& reduce& operational& costs,& and improve overall network reliability and performance.
  9. Ensure& compliance with& network& security& and& regulatory standards& during& the implementation of infrastructure projects.
  10. Mentor& and& guide& technical teams& in& best& practices& related& to& program& management, networking technologies, and process improvement.

  9. Experience in& working& with& enterprise-level& network& infrastructure& and& cloud-based networking solutions.
  10. Familiarity& with& network& security& frameworks and& compliance& standards& (e.g.,& NIST,& ISO& 27001).
  11. Experience& working& in& Agile& environments& and& familiarity& with& DevOps& principles.
  12. 5 years of experience in building and maintaining standards, reporting, and dashboards within Jira.
