- Cleaning patient areas daily, sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing bathrooms and showers, and taking care of trash cans
- Ensuring our entrances are spotless and inviting by picking up litter and emptying trash bins
- Keeping utility and storage rooms organized and neat
- Distributing freshly laundered articles and linens to provide comfort to our patients
- Disinfecting areas through scrubbing and spraying to maintain a safe environment
- Dust mopping and wet mopping hospital hallways, waiting rooms, offices, and entrances each day
- Emptying wastebaskets and relining them for continued cleanliness
- Cleaning rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture
- Polishing metalwork and dusting furniture to keep the hospital looking its best
- Wiping down walls, woodwork, windows, doors, and window sills, climbing ladders safely as necessary
- Transporting waste to disposal areas efficiently
- Replenishing bathroom supplies to ensure facilities are well-equipped for patients and visitors
- Carefully using chemicals and cleaning solutions, and preparing necessary labels
- Reporting unusual problems or faulty equipment so we can address them promptly
- Replenishing supplies on your work cart as needed
- Disinfecting cleaning equipment at the end of each day to uphold our high standards of hygiene
- Helping to move furniture and equipment as directed
- Taking part in a rotating call, as assigned
Requirements
What You'll Need:
- Availability for PRN shifts (as needed)
- Willingness to work day shifts
- Flexibility to cover some weekends, holidays, and take call as required
- Preferred: Six (6) months of related housekeeping experience
