Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and scheduling appointments for patients while keeping their preferences and needs in mind
- Contacting patients to confirm scheduled appointments and follow up as necessary
- Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, ensuring accurate data collection for billing purposes
- Assisting patients with inquiries and concerns, resolving issues with empathy and professionalism
- Maintaining accurate and organized records of patient information and schedules
- Collaborating with healthcare providers and staff to streamline processes and enhance patient satisfaction
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma preferred or (GED) general education degree;
- 1-2 years of experience in a scheduling or administrative role, preferably in a medical setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to create a positive experience for patients
- Proficiency in using computer systems and medical software for scheduling and verification tasks
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
