HIRING KIDS YOGA TEACHERS!

Yoga Playgrounds is Portland’s premier school based yoga enrichment program for kids founded in 2010. We offer classes in schools as well as teacher trainings and professional development workshops for educators. We believe the practices of yoga and mindfulness set the foundation for a lifetime of good health and well being and are the perfect compliments to a child’s busy school day. We are a small but growing, woman owned business.

We are seeking yoga teachers who are interested in teaching yoga to kids on site at schools throughout the Portland, Beaverton and Lake Oswego.

Our teachers travel to schools to teach 30-60 minute yoga classes to kids ages 2 and up. This is a part time position and new teachers can expect to teach 2-3 classes each week, with the opportunity for more if desired. Classes for preschool age kids take place during the school day, and classes for elementary age kids take place after school. Classes can be scheduled around an applicant's existing obligations. New classes will begin in April.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• You must genuinely love working with kids!
• Completion of a 200hr yoga teacher training (or plans to complete) or a specialized kids yoga training.
• Experience working with kids in a formal group setting. Babysitting/nannying does not count.
• A reliable car - you’ll need to transport your yoga mats to each class (we will provide them)
• Ability to pass an Oregon Childcare background check and obtain liability insurance.
