POSITION:
YogaSix Bellevue is seeking an Assistant General Manager located in Nashville, Tennessee. Do you enjoy meeting and talking with people about their health and fitness goals? The Assistant General Manager is responsible for the daily operations of a fitness franchise business. The position is focused heavily on sales and brand promotion. The General Manager ensures smooth daily operations and that the studio remains profitable through multiple revenue streams. The General Manager ensures the studio is well-maintained and customer service standards are upheld to signature values.
The Assistant General Manager oversees all aspects of studio operations as well as the direct management of Sales Associates and Instructors. She/He must demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, team leadership, and ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing. The ideal candidate possesses a drive and passion for sales and service.
JOB REQUIREMENTS - The preferred candidate will have:
- 5 years of sales experience in fitness or retail/service
- Proven experience in generating and following up on sales leads
- Confident in generating retail sales and training Sales Associates
- Ability to manage and drive all revenue streams (e.g., memberships, retail, teacher training, workshops, etc.)
- Experience leading a team successfully
- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills in person, on the telephone, and via email or text
- Solid writing and grammar skills
- Exceptional customer service skills including resolving dissatisfied customer concerns
- Ability to recognize areas of improvement and make changes using good judgement
- Highly organized, proficient in data management, able to prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Professional, punctual, and reliable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Trustworthy and able to safeguard confidential information
- Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients, and the general public
- Ability to stay calm at all times and act respectfully and professionally, even with customers who may become angry or raise their voices
- Basic competence with PC/Mac computers and common applications
- Proficiency with studio management software

DUTIES
- This position will be heavily focused on sales and brand promotion
- Ongoing lead generation, follow up, and closing membership sales
- Community engagement in a grass roots style to drive studio awareness, generate leads, cultivate relationships with other area businesses. This is anticipated to be a daily activity during the pre-sales phase of the business, transitioning to less frequently as the studio matures.
- Daily Social media management (Instagram/Facebook) including posting content via Digital Stack and responding appropriately and proactively to any negative comments
- Manage and grow all revenue streams including memberships, retail, teacher training, and workshops
- Manage studio budget, spending, and reporting
- Partner with Studio Owner to create and execute ongoing marketing plan based on studio needs with a focus on new client acquisition, activation, retention, and loyalty
- Partner with Studio Owner and Director of Education to optimize class schedule on an ongoing basis
- Partner with Studio Owner to recruit, hire, train, supervise, coach all studio staff
- Recruit, hire, onboard, coordinate training, and terminate instructors (with support of Lead Teacher)
- Manage maintenance issues and routine cleaning
- Partner with Studio Owner to track retail inventory and order new merchandise as needed
- Participate in studio, regional and company-wide meetings and trainings as needed including at least weekly sales calls with corporate
- Partner with Studio Owner and corporate Sales Director to ensure the ongoing health and profitability of the studio

- May be required to sit or stand for up to four hours at a time. May be required to reach with hands and arms including overhead. Must be able to bend, lift, kneel, and drive a personal vehicle. This job requires the person to climb up and down flights of stairs as elevators may not be present at all locations. May be asked to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds (e.g., studio weights, boxes or bundles of retail deliveries, merchandising table/tent)
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus
- Must be able to effectively hear in person and via telephone in potentially noise distracting environment
- Must be able to be exposed at least briefly to environmental temperatures as high as 105 degrees and high humidity
