Summer Camp Coach or Assistant - Salinas CA

Summer Camp Coaches for Outdoor Eco Adventures located in Salinas, California - We are looking for people who will share our passion for education, positive encouragement and making a difference in the lives of students this summer.

We’re hiring enthusiastic individuals for 4 weeks of camp in June in Salinas, June 5th- July 3rd. Whether you're a teacher, college student, or someone with childcare experience, we welcome candidates with diverse backgrounds who love fostering learning and fun, We offer competitive pay and are looking for Lead Coaches and Assistant Coaches to run fun program centered around environmental stewardship,

The Outdoor Explorers program is an appreciation and stewardship of the natural world around us, and is a blend of art, science, and enjoying the great outdoors We will provide daily curriculum, plans, games and materials for each class.

Students are grouped by grade level ages 4-12,( K-5th) with class sizes maximum 20 students.

What you will be doing:

• Lead or assist with summer camp for students that incorporates movement, STEM, outdoor education and creative arts classes.

What we are looking for:

• Experience working with groups of kids
• College students, teachers, TAs, retirees, parents, are encouraged to apply
• Effective group management skills
• Energetic, kind, and patient personality
• Punctual and reliable, with access to a reliable form of transportation

What your schedule will look like: Monday through Friday 8 AM - 4 or 5 PM with paid lunch break and break times. Typically five groups of 20 students for 50 minutes each during this time, along with some supervision of free play and group activities.
