What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Agent position at Yogo Inn?

No previous hotel front desk experience is required. Full time or Part time opportunities available.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Answer the telephone in a courteous manner and assist guests with any questions or needs.
- Check in guests, ensuring proper payment is received, special requests noted / fulfilled and information provided is accurate and complete.
- Make guest reservations, alterations and assist guests needing last minute in-person reservations.
- Communicate with all departments regarding guest needs.
- Check out guests, complete all guest transactions.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all hotel amenities, any special events or major town events.
- Know and follow all emergency procedures and Hotel policies.
- Maintain and handle all credit card transactions, checks and cash according to Hotel policies and procedures.
- Communicate relevant information to Managers and Supervisors.
- Follow set procedures on posting, charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds.
- Solicit guest feedback and ensure proper department knows of issues.
Job Requirements
- Helpful if there is previous hotel Front Desk experience. It is not required.
- Provide first-rate guest service skills.
- Previous cash-handling experience helpful.
- Organizational skills including team work, follow-through, problem solving, and communication.
- Must be able to stand for longer periods of time, full use of arms, hands and legs. Standing is required when dealing with guests, agent may sit behind desk when not directly handling guests.
Must have reliable transportation to and from job.
