Key Responsibilities:
- Interviews patients and records information on their charts.
- Cleans and sterilizes medical equipment.
- Inventories and orders medical supplies.
- Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests.
- Gives injections or treatments and performs laboratory tests.
- Schedules appointments and follows up with patients.
- Completes administrative tasks and maintains accurate records.
Requirements:
- National certification in Medical Assisting or an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- CPR Certification that includes hands-on evaluation of skills.
