SENIOR ACCOUNTANT needed for a 3-month Contract (p ossible extension and convert to hire ) opportunity with Yoh’s client located in Stuarts Draft, Virginia. Client will Not accept H1's or sponsor.
Pay rate : $31- $45 / Hr.
The Big Picture – Top Skills You Should Possess :
Position Summary : The Senior Accountant will be responsible for financial performance reporting, variance analysis, inventory management, budgeting, and compliance within the manufacturing plant. The role requires a strong understanding of SAP, Excel, financial reporting, cost accounting, and SOX compliance . The candidate must be able to work independently with plant management and cross-functional teams , ensuring accurate financial reporting and internal controls .
What You Need to Bring to the Table :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Accounting or Finance preferred).
- 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, and inventory control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced level).
- Understanding of SOX compliance, internal controls, and corporate financial reporting.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours for physical inventories, month-end close, and budget periods.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate financial data effectively.
- CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred but not required.
