- Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience
- Basic Understanding: Supplier Negotiations, Supplier Monitoring, Supplier Capacity, Supplier Capability, Problem Solving, Allocation Management, Material Plan (MRP) Execution, Change Control, Supplier Selection, Supplier Relationship Management, Supplier Problem Resolution.
- Working Experience: Requests For Quotes (RFQs), Shortage Management, Material Cost Management (PPV), PO Management, Influencing, Excess and Zero Demand (E&Z) Inventory, Exception Handling, Dispute Management.
- No Experience: Creativity.
- Negotiations: Pricing and terms of purchase, managing strategic suppliers.
- Procurement: Quotes materials, procures materials, components, equipment, and services at the lowest cost while considering quality, reliability, and urgency.
- Supplier Management: Works with engineering and MPM or SCM to recommend new suppliers, issues RFQs, analyzes proposals, negotiates prices and delivery, and maintains necessary records.
- Coordination: Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments, leads problem resolution for material-related issues.
- Inventory Management: Reviews MRP regularly, executes and cancels orders, maintains inventory levels, and performs E&Z analysis.
- Communication: Pulls and reads part specifications and engineering drawings, provides feedback to engineering for cost reduction efforts.
- Planning: Plans and controls high complexity manufacturing scheduling, monitors suppliers' responsiveness and inventory, supports manufacturing capacity fulfillment, and manages training period allocation.
- Field Support: Plans field support activities, manages disposition and planning of retrofit projects, and supports R&D and lab needs.
