is seeking a
skilled and hands-on Desktop/Deskside Support Technician
to join our successful client and contribute professionally to supporting their ongoing technical needs.
Location: Liberty, NC
Duration:
6 months contract to start, with intentions to hire fulltime!
Schedule: must be open to working multiple shifts (1st, 2nd or 3rd)
Pay rate range: $20 - $21 based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person technical support for desktop systems, including Dell and HP hardware.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications.
- Perform regular maintenance and updates on desktop systems.
- Assist with network connectivity issues and peripheral device setups.
- Document and track issues using a ticketing system.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless support.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
- Provide support for other IT-related tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Dell and HP desktop systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
- Able to pass a background check and complete a drug screen.
