Manufacturing Technician - 3rd shift
needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh Scientific's client located in San Diego, CA.
This position will be for a major biotech company and
is suitable for someone with a biology or chemistry background preferred.
Shifts available:
Sunday through Thursday, 10 pm to 6:30 am.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately perform pipetting and manual handling of liquids to prepare reagents, samples, and formulations.
- Operate and maintain various liquid handling robots and other laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and high-quality output.
- Perform routine and specialized quality control tests to verify the consistency and integrity of products.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, adhering to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Handle preparation, storage, and disposal of chemical materials, ensuring compliance with all hazardous material guidelines.
- Contribute to team efforts by completing additional tasks as needed, adapting to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in laboratory techniques, especially pipetting and the accurate preparation of solutions.
- Familiarity with computer systems for data entry and laboratory automation control.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Previous experience with SOPs, GMP, and quality control processes is preferred.
