A long-established Honolulu restaurant has opened a second location in KAHALA and is currently seeking an experienced Kitchen Chef and Kitchen Assistant.
Kitchen Chef Duties:
- Prepare a variety of dishes according to established recipes and culinary standards.
- Oversee the kitchen team to ensure the quality and presentation of all dishes.
- Manage food inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff for efficient service delivery.
Kitchen Assistant Duties:
- Assist the kitchen team in food preparation and cooking tasks.
- Wash, peel, and chop ingredients as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
- Support the kitchen chef in ensuring timely and efficient food service.
- Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Chef or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and various cuisines, including Japanese cuisine.
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Effective leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong work ethic and attention to cleanliness and detail.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a culinary environment.
