We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Engineer, you will work with internal and external teams to build quality into projects, processes, and products. You will ensure conformity to drawings, specifications, and Engineering Change Notifications. You will perform a variety of quality engineering and inspection tasks from maintaining the quality of existing product lines, to newly transferred lines of products and services.

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Engineer, you will work with internal and external teams to build quality into projects, processes, and products. You will ensure conformity to drawings, specifications, and Engineering Change Notifications. You will perform a variety of quality engineering and inspection tasks from maintaining the quality of existing product lines, to newly transferred lines of products and services.
Main Responsibilities
- Develops and implements quality plans, including measurement criteria, targets, procedures, and improvement plans.
- Conduct internal line audits related to manufacturing activities per ISO 9001.
- Assist with outside agency audits conducted on a preset schedule. Provide information to the external auditors to verify compliance with their requirements. These include audits by DEKRA (ATEX), CSA, FM, Intertek, and UL.
- Maintain the system that tracks the quality metrics, including total number of units produced and total failures to calculate the Pass-Through Rate (PTR)
- Work as a leader and facilitator to organize and guide group continual improvement activities, and projects as assigned.
- Process nonconforming material reports. Issue reject notifications and Corrective Action Requests (CAR), both internally, and to suppliers.
- Participate in Material Review Board meetings to identify items rejected and the cause of the rejection/defect with senior level manufacturing personnel.
- Analyzes quality data and reports to management with recommendations to improve customer satisfaction and internal processes.
- Coordinates investigations of customer complaints and provides direct feedback to management.
- Assists management in directing corrective actions and assessing the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
- Creates, maintains, and implements procedures to comply with Yokogawa Manufacturing policies.
- Ensures all existing procedures are current and accurate.
- Monitors compliance with regulatory standards and assures that YCA manufacturing processes, and products conform to those standards requirements.
- Implement supplier audits or surveys and monitor inspection and test data to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Responsible for providing uncompromising quality to all work processes in designated area of responsibility. Having the authority to stop those work processes at any time it is believed quality is being compromised.
- Contribute to improving safety in the workplace, by encouraging factory personnel to report safety issues via near-miss format and assist in investigating safety incidents.

Requirements
Education and Experience
B.S. degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical, or industrial engineering from an accredited college or university. Relevant skills and experience include familiarity with international, local, and industrial codes; machining and fabrication; engineering team environment; process and product troubleshooting-root cause analysis; ISO accreditations and auditing.
