About the Role
We are looking for a Field Service Tire Engineer to join our North American team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and engaging with customers in real-world applications. You’ll spend about 50% of your time in the field, working with customers to evaluate product performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide engineering support. The rest of your time will be spent analyzing data, planning field evaluations, and collaborating with internal teams to drive product improvements.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the technical expert for customers and field sales teams across North America.
- Conduct on-site product evaluations, analyze real-world performance, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Investigate and resolve warranty claims with OE and aftermarket customers.
- Provide hands-on technical training to sales teams and customers.
- Identify opportunities for product enhancements based on field feedback.
- Conduct competitive benchmarking to keep our products ahead of the market.
- Collaborate with design engineers, quality teams, and manufacturing teams (including overseas).
- Support customer satisfaction initiatives and gather feedback.
What You Need to Succeed
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with commercial vehicles, tires, or off-highway applications (agriculture, construction, forestry).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze technical data and field conditions.
- Excellent communication skills, both technical and commercial, to work effectively with different audiences.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working in a global, cross-cultural environment with overseas teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, or Science.
- 3 years of experience in tire engineering, field service, or a related field.
- Ability to travel up to 50% across North America.
- Physically able to handle and inspect heavy tires and tire assemblies when necessary.
- Strong data analysis skills and experience creating technical reports.
