About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Compound Engineer to join our team at the Yokohama Tire Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for formulating and developing high-quality tire compounds.
Your primary focus will be on creating and maintaining recipe formulations and parameters for mixing and component preparation. You will also be involved in troubleshooting material process issues and collaborating with other departments to resolve process-related problems.
Able to travel extensively, this position requires up to 4 months of overseas training and one month of training in the Continental U.S.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine compound recipes and parameters.
- Conduct quality control checks on compounds.
- Analyze data and prepare reports.
- Establish guidelines for tire curing processes.
- Assist in addressing any additional needs from the Tire Engineering Department.
Requirements:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the rubber industry.
