The Yokohama Tire Corporation seeks a skilled Laboratory Operations Expert to support quality assurance by performing tests on factory/laboratory mixed compounds and tire components. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify equipment operation and perform calibrations/maintenance on laboratory equipment.
- Operate various analytical instrumentation for chemical and physical tests, including bench top mini mills, curing presses, tensile testers, Mooney viscometers, adhesion testers, densitometers, hardness testers, and moving die rheometers.
- Follow safety standards and standard operating procedures to ensure product quality.
- Provide support with testing raw materials, such as carbon black and synthetic rubber.
- Aim to improve laboratory test methods to enhance accuracy and precision of data and processes.
- Participate in safety awareness and consciousness programs.
- Comply strictly with company rules and regulations.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the laboratory and other work areas using 5S tools.
- Comply strictly to Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Assist with lab equipment autonomous and preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibrations as needed and required.
- Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of ISO 9001/TS 16949 & IS0 14001.
