Position: Warehouseman
Summary
POSITION PURPOSE:
Drive industrial forklift truck to lift and move pallets of raw materials from trucks and containers to the RM warehouse.
Follow SOP’s for Receiving, Storing, and Dispatching Raw material and Indirect material.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to work rotating shift when required
- Complete daily work reports as required
- Reports defective or suspect materials when observed
- Attention to detail a must
- Maintain good working relationships with warehouse team and others.
- Complies with Company Rules and Regulations
- Scans barcode on pallets of Raw Materials with RF Unit
- Counts packages and bags on pallets and enter into RF unit.
- Understand Metric units of weights and measure
- Transports materials from warehouse to mixing and production processes.
- Scan door barcodes.
- Manually lift bags and various boxes, and containers when required.
- Move rail cars with Track Mobile rail car movers.
- Return empty pallets to storage area.
- Change Fuel cylinders for lifts when needed.
- Operate fork lift, responsible for daily forklift equipment checks prior to work.
- Operate Freight elevator
- Familiar with FIFO, Kanban, and 5S activities
- Performs other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
Knowledge and Skills
EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Knowledge of production processes, raw materials, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of
tires. Understand and retain process steps necessary to perform production processing. Regular dependable attendance is an essential function of this
position. Experience with operating forklift, current forklift license preferred.
Education and Experience
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA
Basic Manufacturing Skills
CRC Silver Certificate
AA DEGREE- 2 year associates degree in related field - Preferred
