Responsibilities: - Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity and detect any ocular abnormalities or diseases. - Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids based on patients' needs and lifestyle. - Diagnose and treat visual conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia. - Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries. - Educate patients on proper eye care practices, including the use of contact lenses and eyeglasses. - Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient consultations, examinations, and treatments. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists, to ensure comprehensive patient care. - Stay updated on the latest advancements in optometry practices and technologies to deliver high-quality services.
