Janitorial Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to enhance the appearance of surfaces.
• Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with environmental regulations.
• Assist in minor facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support overall building upkeep.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain operational efficiency.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of custodial practices including commercial cleaning techniques and industrial cleaning standards.
• Experience in facilities maintenance is a plus, with the ability to perform basic repairs when necessary.
• Familiarity with floor care methods such as buffing, stripping, and waxing is highly desirable.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with staff and management.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.

Pay: $7.25 - $13.00 per hour
