Yonkers Contracting has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Claims Administrator. Proficiency in General & Auto Liability, Workers Compensation, and Property claims is required. Candidate will administer Disability & Paid Family leave claims as well. Experience in the construction industry is preferred but not required.
This full time, 40 hour per week In-House position reports to the AVP of Insurance/ Risk Management and requires an experienced individual with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Claims Management.
Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the intake and processing of all assigned claims (GL, auto, WC, property, disability, paid family leave, and related claims) (“Claims”)
- Act as Insurance Department contact for reporting all accidents.
- Responsible for day- to-day contact with insurance companies and outside counsel with respect to Claims
- Assemble documents and information relating to Claims litigation discovery, in coordination with Legal Department
- Liaison between Yonkers Contracting and claimants regarding eligibility and claim statusz0020
- Coordinate Claims handling, settlements and return to work options with Management
- Responsible for status updates to appropriate internal employees
- Develop and distribute internal reports, tracking and analytics.
- Loss Run Reports of claims made by or against the Company
- Pursue recovery of funds
- Coordinate responses to third-party subpoenas relating to Claims and employment issues, in coordination with Legal Department
- As needed, assist Legal Department with discovery responses and related matters for other types of claims

Essential Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
- Must have knowledge of Workers Compensation, General Liability and Property and Automobile insurance regulations, and a general understanding of related litigation
- Must be able to read and interpret insurance documents and forms
- Must have good written, organizational, and follow up skills
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
- Additional duties as assigned

Salary : $125,000 - $140,000
