About the Role:
Yonkers Contracting Company is looking for a passionate and talented student seeking a summer internship in end user support and systems administration. This hands-on position will work collaboratively with the IT team to support day to day IT enterprise activities. You will have the opportunity to learn how a corporate IT department operates and be exposed to modern cloud and information security technologies. Availability to stay on part-time in the Fall is highly desired.
What you will do:
- Provide help desk assistance - investigate, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Resolve internet, network and printer issues
- Respond to internal requests for meeting room technical support
- Provide training as needed
- Assist with administration of Microsoft 365 and IT orchestration platforms
- Deploy and manage end-user devices – PCs, laptops, mobile devices
- Recordkeeping, inventory, and documentation
Qualifications
- Comfortable speaking to coworkers by phone or in-person to troubleshoot IT issues while you are still learning the environment.
- In pursuit of a technical degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with Microsoft Windows 11 including basic operations and troubleshooting
- Experience with some or all of Microsoft 365 suite - Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint
- Familiarity with VOIP & Videoconferencing
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune or other device management software a plus
- Basic knowledge of printer and mobile device (iOS) troubleshooting.
- Communication and attitude are key, you should have the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing to a non-technical audience and must have strong interpersonal and listening skills to work in a team environment.
- Must meet requirements to work in the US – complete form I9 and present supporting documents.
- Valid Driver’s license – flexible to visit a project site in NY/NJ/CT (if needed)
