What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian - Part Time position at York Academy Regional Charter School?
The Part-time Custodian is responsible for cleaning designated areas of the school. These areas include classrooms, hallways, lavatories, special instructional areas, and office spaces.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assure that the school is cleaned prior to the start of each school day.
- Assure that the building is secure at the close of the evening hours.
- Inspect buildings and grounds including safety and security features and submit reports as necessary.
- Perform a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services.
- Operate the environmental controls within the building.
- Provide notification to the Plant Operator should there be damage to the building or a need for
repair. - Maintain a professional, courteous manner with all students, staff, parents, and vendors.
- Perform all other duties assigned by the Plant Operator/Head of School.
