Position Summary: York Building Products is seeking a motivated Quality Control Technician to join our team. The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for maintaining quality assurance processes, testing of products, the recording and analyzing of results gathered during product development and production within our Pennsylvania Aggregate Division.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Collect and test regular samples of quarried products to verify conformity to industry specifications
- Records test results in Stonemont (QC reporting software)
- Prepare and maintain test data for review
- Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards
- Work with the Quality Control Manager regarding specific information relating to product information and production
- Develop and maintain quality control testing procedures
- Ensure compliance to company standards and specifications, as well as federal and state mandates
- Maintain calibration of quality control equipment
- Perform inspections across all stages of production
- Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly
- Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency
- Work with the management and production managers to ensure that only quality products are produced
- Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Minimum of 2-5 years of inspection and/or production experience preferably in the construction materials, concrete or asphalt industry. Experience preferred, however we will train the right person
- Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds routinely
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information
- Ability to exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality
- Computer literate in Windows, Excel, Adobe and MS Office
