About our opportunity
York County has an array of parks for residents and visitors to enjoy! Whether you're looking for camping, swimming, leisure activities and/or recreational activities, York County Parks have something for the entire family to enjoy. We are excited to hire a part-time Gatehouse Worker for Ebenezer Park. The purpose of this position is to collect entrance fees from individuals entering the park; to provide information, customer service and assistance to all park visitors.
Projected Salary Range: $16.61 - $19.93 per hour. Salary is dependent on qualifications.
Work Schedule: This position will work in the gatehouse and visitor's center at Ebenezer Park on a rotation basis and other parks if the need arises. Position works a rotating schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays as the park is open 365 days a year. Position could work as early as 7am and as late as 9pm.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitors the Park gatehouse and collects entrance fees from Park guests; collects payments for shelter rentals; and collects annual pass sales and completes documentation.
- Explains Park rules and regulations and provides requested information to park guests.
- Prepares required records, reports, and correspondence.
- Performs general clerical duties as required, including but not limited to answering the telephone, entering and retrieving computer data, copying and filing documents, maintaining supply inventory, etc.
- Attends training, meetings, etc. as appropriate to maintain or enhance job knowledge and skills.
- May perform park store duties (e.g., sale of goods, cashier duties, and stocking duties) as needed.
- Assists with camper check-in / check-out duties.
About you
Experience and Education:
- Must be 16 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Applicants with equivalent experience and/or education may be considered.
