What are the responsibilities and job description for the Events Support Staff position at York County?
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Possession of a valid driver’s license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia with good driving record mandatory.
Must be able to work independently and have the ability to follow directions.
Must possess good customer service and effective oral and written communication skills.
General knowledge of the historic Yorktown area streets and building locations, and the ability to provide directions to major points of interest desired.
Good working knowledge of industrial housekeeping preferred.
Requires an acceptable criminal background check.
Much of the work associated with this position is performed outdoors under all types of weather conditions.
DMV records and criminal background checks conducted prior to employment.
Must be able operate a utility vehicle, be able to stand for long periods of time, and walking from one work area to another. Able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry equipment from a variety of work areas to another. Able to lift, push and carry a variety of equipment and tools during work shift.
