EXPERIENCED ESTIMATOR/PROJECT MANAGER

York Enterprises is the South Sound's Premier Home Remodeler located in Tacoma. We are a licensed, bonded, and insured General Contractor with a Design Team and over 40 years of experience. We do a variety of projects including maintenance and repairs, foundations, decks, and design to build kitchens, bathrooms, whole house remodels, additions and ADUs.

We have a goal to be the most prestigious and capable custom residential contractor in the South Sound. In order to reach this goal, we are actively recruiting for an Experienced Estimator/Project Manager!

JOB EXPERIENCE:
Including but not limited to:

Project Estimation:

• Conduct thorough site visits to assess project scope and requirements.
• Develop accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and subcontractors.
• Solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Review and analyze project plans and specifications.

Project Management:

• Manage all phases of small projects, from planning to completion.
• Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Manage project budgets and track expenses.
• Supervise and motivate project teams.
• Address and resolve project issues and conflicts promptly.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients and project stakeholders.
• Ensure all projects meet quality standards and are completed on time and within budget.

Client Relations:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Address client concerns and questions promptly and professionally.
• Ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

CANDIDATE EQUIREMENTS:

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Time management and multitasking abilities.
• Strong negotiation and client management skills.

Other Experience:

• Proven experience in residential remodeling or construction estimating and project management.
• Experience with project scheduling and budgeting software.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
• 5 years of Construction Industry experience and knowledgeable of construction methods and various trades.
• Experience with technology such as computer skills, navigating apps on phone, and experience with Microsoft Office and Buildertrend preferred.
• Valid WA Driver's License and current Auto Insurance coverage.

• A self-starter and independent worker with attention to detail and has the ability to problem solve and troubleshoot and manage time well.
• Comfortable receiving instruction from others and directing others.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
