Position Title: Certified Surgical Technologist - Full Time (36 hours/week)
Department: Surgery
Reports to: Director of Surgery
Nature of Work
York General is looking for CSTs that are interested in serving our patients from York and its surrounding communities by bringing surgical care closer to home. If you have a working knowledge of surgical equipment and procedures, good aseptic technic, and attention to detail, we hope you'll apply!
Highlights of the Position
- Great hours: Monday - Friday, 0700-1530, plus call.
- Will be on call 1 day per week, 1 weekend per month, 2 holidays per year.
- Must be within 30 minutes of the hospital when on call.
- Surgical Tech certification required within 6 months of hire.

What You'll Do
- Must have knowledge of instruments and surgical procedures to assist the surgeon by handing instruments and other items in a prescribed manner.
- Maintain aseptic technique.
- Maintain as orderly surgical field and anticipate the needs of the surgeon.
- Take call as needed to provide 24-hour surgery coverage.
- Maintain accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
