York General is looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented individual to join our Patient Accounts team as an Estimates and Collections Assistant. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday on-site from 8:30am-5:00pm. Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate estimates for the No Surprises Act and Good Faith Estimates to ensure patients understand potential costs.
- Assist with collections on various accounts, including legal, agency, bank loans, and other outstanding balances, working with patients to set up payment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with clinical departments and external providers to gather information required for price estimates.
- Support collection activities for delinquent accounts.
- Help with charity application processing, including preparation of bank loans and legal documents.
Qualification
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at once with strong attention to detail
- Strong math skills and clear communication abilities, both written and verbal, are essential
- Preference given to candidates with experience in 501(R) collection practices, healthcare data entry, and/or Price Transparency guidelines
